tried to check out plunder for some random stuffto waste my bandwidth on and this is what i got...

I would like to know how to increase the traffic to our site as mush as possible.

RSDF & CCF File Decryption

Coming across more and more of these RSDF/CCF files while trying to download from Rapidshare... Got as far as figuring out that they're similar to .torrent/.nzb but encrypted links, but I don't trust any of the download tools which want me to put my Rapidshare info in - I'd rather decrypt the file and load the links manually in my browser. Any easy tools to dump an rsdf file back to text links? Everything I've found so far has been German (as far as I can tell) on the Gulli boards.

Home Build or Just Buy?

OK, basically the business is going well. So I will be opening an ACTUAL OFFICE!
With an ACTUAL WORKFORCE.

Now the question is, and I will give my opinion later.
Should I buy the computers from a store or should I homebuild every single one?

I personally think that just buying one and seeing if I can get any business deals for low-end prices.
The players I'm thinking of going with are HP / Dell / Toshiba.

I like the cost and performance of those.
These will be seriously heavy duty machines. That's why. Also...let's face it. The Tech Support will be handled internally.

My FINAL option of course is to just end up buying refurbished macs (cause of software unfortunately).
But since Steve Jobs is a jerk who doesn't care 1% about the Middle East. I've decided to stay away from this area.

What do you all think?

SQL Server 2005

I want to be able to execute an SQL script in c# and noticed it's possible in 2005 but not 2000 so i'm wondering if now is the time to give it a go.

I have to make a whole ton of these flash media players, each one has a different ip that connects to a shoutcast server and plays music from that stream.
Im no flash developer so i have no idea(literally ive been using flash for about 2 days now), is there a way for:

Either A: one player to retrieve a list of ip's and load them. say from a txt file.

Or B: Change all .swf all at once, such as graphix, buttons, actions...etc.?

I'm looking for some software that can lock write access to the entire HD-partition where windows is placed. If I wan't to enable write access again, I only type my password, or whatever..

Things written to the drive, while the software is enabled will not really "stay" on the drive permanently.

Example:

- I lock the drive
- Install or download something
- Reboot
-* the things doesn't stay

Do you guys know of any good applications, that can do just this?

computer hardware problems?

so my old ass computer has died. which is unfortunate because i have all media that i have downloaded in the past year on it. there are a couple partitions on it, two separate installs of media center, both of which are maybe corrupt and wont boot. chkdsk always comes up and when i try to skip it freezes, when i run it it freezes, and booting into just the command prompt it freezes.

I think two windows installs are on a sep partition so i doubt the HD's are corrupt. There are a couple folders (100gigs) on there which i assume are still good, and want to get the info off and then format the fuck out of everything. Any ideas on how to get the info onto my usb external, without reinstalling windows?

Does a windows repair actually work? You think the problems is HD related or hard ware related, keep in mind I am down to 256 megs of ram (my other chip went bad), and just put in a 350 watt psu cause me other one died, with a Nforce 3 motherboard, amd 3200+ 64bit, geforce 6600gt 128megs of vram, two cd drives.

I dont really have any spare parts since i just moved, and have a macbook pro and a external usb drive.

i was thinking maybe a bootable dos cd, with usb drivers? any better options? any devices or cables that would allow me to hook the drives directly up to my mac? i don't want to risk formatting any partitions on the drives for fear of important data loss...

backing up data

On one of my drives thats about to bite the dust I have about 60 gigs of music and alot many more gigs of video. I was wondering if anyone had any nifty programs that would backup my data in the background, and log what is backed up and what was not. The drive is so slow that it takes for ever and simply sending the data to my external takes way too long, and my comp usually crashes somewhere in between. Any ideas?

Has any one here had any success settings up TOR on a multi(2) nic lin box?? For me i cant get it to use the outside nic, its always trying to use the internal nic and there also seems to be a bug in tor when you try to run on ubuntu boxes that it trys to run as current user when its supposed to use some user created with the install, i used the apt-get ver. of TOR

now that im on the topic of multi nic environments has any one had any success setting up VMware server on a linux server with multi nics? the network fails for me every time but when i install on a box with just one nic it works like a gem. any help on the issues above will be of great help TYVM
